A solenoid coil is an electromechanical component used to convert electrical energy into linear motion. It consists of tightly wound copper wire around a metallic core. When electric current flows through the coil, it generates a magnetic field that actuates a plunger or armature, enabling or disabling fluid or gas flow in valves, or performing mechanical movement in actuators.
